	Poor 1 pts	Fair 2 pts	Good 3 pts
Brainstorm Students should start with a brainstorm of 10 things they like (to do, be involved in, etc.) Then they should categorize them into particular industries. They choose 5 industries and brainstorm 5 companies affiliated in each industry. Students should justify their choices and be able to describe their criteria for selection.	Poor Student has less than 10 companies included in their final brainstorm.	Fair Student has 11-19 companies included in their final brainstorm.	Good Student has 20+ companies included in their final brainstorm.
Company Information Students should use Yahoo Finance, investorguide.com and Google Finance or wallstreetsurvivor.com to research the 25 companies in their brainstorm. Students need to describe why those companies they chose meet the criteria they selected	Poor Student completed less than 5 researched companies.	Fair Students completed 6-12 researched companies.	Good Students completed 13 + researched companies.
Criteria for selection Students must define using financial analysis tools, why they chose to invest in the stocks you invested in.	Poor Student justifies the selection using only 1 criteria	Fair Student justifies the selection using only 2 criteria	Good Student justifies the selection using 3 criteria or more
Investor Chart Students use the company information to create a chart and pie graph to record their spending and intent online.	Poor Student does not complete the chart and pie graph.	Fair Student completes only the chart or the pie graph, but not both.	Good Student completes both the chart and the pie graph.
Online Investing Students log on to wallstreetsurvivor.com and set up an account with 5-10 companies to invest in.	Poor Students log in and make less than 3 investments in companies.	Fair Students log in and make 4-6 investments in companies.	Good Students log in and make 7+ investments in companies.
Online Participation Students should make a minimum of three trades per week to stay active in the contest.	Poor Student makes 1 trade per week or less.	Fair Student makes 2 trades per week.	Good Student makes 3+ trades per week.
