Use of Materials	Progressing Student showed little understanding of how to use watercolour paints. Little to no bright colours were used.	Achieved Student showed understanding of how to use watercolour paints. Bright colours were used on the sunflowers and vase.	Exceeding Student showed great understanding of how to use watercolour paints. Multiple bright colours were used on the sunflowers and vase.
Background	Progressing Student did not design four different lines with oil pastels on their background	Achieved Student designed four different lines with oil pastels on their background	Exceeding Student used designed their own lines using oil pastels which makes the artwork look complete and finished.
Effort and cutting out.	Progressing Student's work shows little to no interest/effort. No white area or too much white area was left around the vase and sunflowers. Cutting out needs works	Achieved Student's work shows interest and portrays a great effort. White area was left around the vase and sunflowers and cut out well.	Exceeding Students work shows interest and portrays a strong effort and interest. White area was left around the vase and sunflowers and cutting out was exceptional.
