Introduction

The introduction contains an attention getter, a relevance to the a audience, statement, a credibility statement, a 3 point thesis, and a 3 point preview. The preview reflects the 3 point thesis in the same order but wording is not repetitious. These are all written in complete sentences.

There are 4 transition sentences. One after the introduction, one before the conclusion, and one separating each of the body sections. Each link what was said before it to what will be said.

Body Format

Roman numbers identify the 3 major ideas. Capital letters identify the main sup-point of those ideas. Numbers identify the details of those sub-points. THERE are always at least 2 developed points in each section. All sections are properly indented. There is only one idea/sentence for each letter/number. There are no sentence fragments or run on sentences.

Conclusion

The conclusion begins with a summary of the 3 main points. Following that is an audience response statement. Finally, the speech ends with a WOW statement. Each part is well developed and is written in complete sentences.

There are at least 3 quoted references in the body of the speech. There is a Works Cited page written in the MLA format at the end of the outline. Credit is given to all sources used.
