Choreography Project

Choreography; creativity Use of levels, space, time, dynamics.	Unacceptable Dancer does not demonstrate use of space; dance is one-level and too simple. NO connection to the Box with the piece can be identified.	Developing Dancer demonstrates a few levels but choreography is simple with little use of rhythmic patters. Little connection to the piece with the Box.	Proficient Choreography shows a good deal of levels and rhythms but does not show complete understanding of rhythmic patterning, use of time and space. Connection to Box and the piece can be made.	Excellent Choreography is complete with many levels, rhythmic patterns and uses space in a way that enhances entire performance. Dancer integrates the box to the piece very well.
Focus/Energy	Unacceptable Dancer fails to stay focused, lacks concentration and puts forth little effort. Dancer made no effort to 'look the part'.	Developing Dancer appears somewhat focused yet performs with little energy. Dancer made little effort to 'look the part'.	Proficient Dancer performs exercise by staying focused and utilizes strength and energy. Dancer made effort to look professional.	Excellent Dancer performs exercise fully focused and demonstrates with ease and concentration. Effort was made to wear a 'costume' and/or the dancer looks very professional.
Overall Performance	Unacceptable Dancer doesn't appear to have understood concept of the assignment.	Developing Dancers demonstrates a weak movement phrase. Was not well planned or rehearsed.	Proficient Dancer appears to be well rehearsed and gives a good performance. Characterization was demonstrated but not quite developed.	Excellent Dancer appears well rehearsed and gives a strong performance where the audience is moved with emotion.
