Physical Education Rubric
	Excellent/Grade A 5 pts	Good/Grade B 4 pts	Fair/Grade C 3 pts	Poor/Grade D 2 pts	Unsatisfactory/Grade F 1 pts
Attendance and punctuality	Excellent/Grade A Student is always on time and does not have any unexcused absences.	Good/Grade B Student has one or more excused absences or excused tardies for the week.	Fair/Grade C Student has 1-2 unexcused tardies or absences in a week.	Poor/Grade D Student has 3-4 times unexcused tardies or absences in the week.	Unsatisfactory/Grade F Student is late everyday to class unexcused or absent for the full week.
Level of Engagement	Excellent/Grade A Student always participates and is totally engaged everyday, always on task and never needs reminding about anything.	Good/Grade B Student usually participates everyday but has to be reminded a couple of times to remain on task in a physical activity in the gym during the week.	Fair/Grade C Student needs to be reminded to participate more than a couple of times and remain on task. Student has one time left the gym without permission.	Poor/Grade D Student constantly needs reminding to participate and remain on task during a physical activity in the gym. Student more than once has left the gym without permission.	Unsatisfactory/Grade F Student chooses not to participate or remain on task in physical activity or in the gym. Student has left the gym at least 3 times without permission.
Respect and listens to authority	Excellent/Grade A Student always respect teachers, other adults, and fellow classmates. Student always follow directions the first time given and never harasses other classmates.	Good/Grade B Student had to be reminded once to respect others and/or follow directions.	Fair/Grade C Student need to be reminded to show respect to others twice in the week and or follow directions.	Poor/Grade D Student needs to be reminded three times to show respect to others and/or follow directions.	Unsatisfactory/Grade F Student needs to be reminded constantly to show respect to others and/or follow directions. Student is caught threatening and/or harassing other classmates.
