Clearly demonstrates difference between warm and cool colors: Wide range of hues. Equally balanced ratio between warm and cool.

Clearly demonstrates difference between warm and cool colors. Somewhat equal balance of warm to cool. A decent range of hues were used.

Somewhat confusing depiction of a warm versus cool section. Not very well balanced and a limited range of hues.

Didn't really section off a warm versus cool section. Not a balanced piece and used an extremely limited range of hues.

Excellent

Colors are crisp and not muddied. Paint is vibrant and not watered down. Hues were used to appropriately distinguish some values.If brushstrokes were visible they were purposeful towards texture.

Colors were used correctly to represent warm and cool, but the blending of them got a little muddied. Paints used a little too much water and are somewhat transparent. Brushstrokes are visible.

Colors were blended up too much and become a distraction. Brushstrokes and staying within the section got sloppy. Colors are bland, too much water use.

Colors are messy and not clearly thought out per section. Brushstrokes are very messy and distracting.

Artwork completed neatly with much creativity. Student followed all instructions carefully. Student came up with two very unique concepts that represent the warm and cool section well.

It is evident student spent exceptional time and effort "getting things just right". Paper was taken care of really well. No damages whatsoever.

It is evident student spent time creating this piece, however, the paper has some slight damage to it.

Student should have spent more time planning and creating this piece. The paper has quite a few damages.

It is evident that student ran out of time to complete the assignment. The paper was extremely damaged and not well taken care of.
