Writing a Fairly Tale in Japanese Writing Children's Book Choose one of the well-known fairly tales. Rewrite the story as a picture book in Japanese. Use the vocabulary and grammar that you have studied, and include images appropriate for the readers. Your story should be at least ten pages long, using either storyboard and digitally publish, or create a paperback. Content The story is 10 pages long and tells the life story.	Excellent The project meets the length requirement, and tells the complete story.	Good The project has 10 pages, but loses some main points.	Fair The project is less than 10 pages, or missed a few main points.	Poor The project has many inaccuracies and is less than 10 pages.
Vocabulary and Grammar Use correct grammar and vocabulary.	Excellent Grammar and vocabulary were properly used throughout the story.	Good Grammar and vocabulary were used with a few mistakes throughout the story.	Fair Grammar and vocabulary were partially with correct usage throughout the story.	Poor Grammar and Vocabulary were not properly used.
Illustrations Students have illustrated or computer generated the appropriate pictures to accompany the writing on the pages.	Excellent Illustrations and details are present and connect to all the written pages. Details are extreme and great care went into each picture.	Good Some illustrations are placed correctly and connected to the written pages. Detail to enhance the story is present.	Fair Illustrations are just placed on the page and are really not connected to the written page.	Poor There are few to no illustrations.
Editing and Publishing Creative ideas and neatness are present throughout.	Excellent Project is creative and all elements of a well-planned children's book are present.	Good Neatness is present, but student was capable of more creative work.	Fair Project has pencil marks and eraser marks throughout. Little time or effort seemed to be put forth.	Poor The project is sloppy and incomplete.
