Prediction Students make and show a plan and prediction to the teacher about how their object will travel	Does Not Meet No writing is seen and no verbal prediction was given.	Approaching Students were able to verbalize a plan and prediction, but did not write their plan and prediction.	Meets Students both verbalized and wrote their plan and prediction.	Exceeds Students was able to verbalize and write their plan and prediction with extra detail and/or pictures.
Observe and Record Students test their design and write down what they observed	Does Not Meet Students do not test their design and does not write down observations	Approaching Students are seen testing their design, but does not write down their observations.	Meets Students both test and write down their observations.	Exceeds Students conduct two or more tests and write down their observations for each with extra detail and pictures.
Teamwork Partners work together and allow each other to have a voice.	Does Not Meet Student argued or refused to work with partner Or Student failed to complete written assignment	Approaching Student allowed partner to do most of the work or only partially participated.
