Transplanting a Tomato
	Poor 1 pts	Fair 2 pts	Good 3 pts	Excellent 4 pts
Gather Materials	Poor Student gathers material and is missing 3 or more items.	Fair Student gathers materials and is missing two items.	Good Student gathers the materials but is missing one item.	Excellent Student gathers all of the following materials: 3 inch container, soil, tomato plant, sharpie, flat, and water jug.
Step 1- Filling Container with Soil	Poor Student fills up container with less than 1 inch of soil.	Fair Student fills up container between 1 to 2 inches of soil.	Good Student fills up container with enough soil to be between 2-3 inches.	Excellent Student fills up the container with at least 3 inches of soil.
Step 2-Transplaning	Poor Student transplants seedlings and puts less than 1/2 inch of soil on top of the roots.	Fair Student transplants seedlings and has 1 to 1 1/2 inches of soil covering the roots.	Good Student transplants tomato and has at least 2 inches of soil on top of the roots.	Excellent Student transplants tomato with at least 2 inches of soil on top and makes sure the tomato is upright and supported.
Step 3- Watering	Poor Student fills up water jug but forgets to water tomato plant.	Fair Student watesr tomato plants for 1 second.	Good Student watesr tomato plant for 2 seconds.	Excellent Student waters tomato plant for the correct allotted time of 3 seconds.
Step 4- Labeling	Poor Student labels that the plant is a tomato plant but forgets to label the correct variety.	Fair Student labels the tomato plant with the correct variety.	Good Student labels the tomato plant with the correct variety and the writing is legible.	Excellent Student labels the tomato plant with the correct variety and the writing is in large font and is clean and legible.
