Notebook Entry Rubric Notebook Entry Rubric Notebook entries MUST be 4-6 sentences. If you are absent, write the word "absent" across the page for the date you missed. You will not need to make-up that entry. If your notebook is missing, 2 pts. (see scoring) will be deducted for each missing day. No exceptions. You will still need to complete your notes on a sheet of paper and staple it into your notebook. If you lose your notebook, you must purchase a replacement. 	Weak 5 pts	Average 7 pts	Excellent 10 pts
Content & Date Recording	Weak - Content is incomplete. -Missing date on all pages.	Average - Content is inconsistent with regard to purpose and clarity of thought -Date is inconsistently/ incorrectly written.	Excellent - Content and purpose of the writing are clear -Date is correctly written at the top right hand corner of every page.
Format/Grammar	Weak - Paper contains numerous grammatical, punctuation, and spelling errors - Paragraph is inadequate/excessive in length.	Average - Paragraph contains few grammatical, punctuation and spelling errors. - Paragraph is slightly over/ under sentence length.	Excellent - Rules of grammar, usage, and punctuation are followed; spelling is correct. - Paragraph is 4-6 complete sentences. There are no more than 6 and no fewer than 4 sentences.
