Content Knowledge

Exceeds Expectations

Students demonstrate superb content knowledge through the choice of questions, visuals and written stimuli. Coverage of the time period is exceptional. There are no factual errors.
Meets Expectations

Students demonstrate sufficient knowledge of the content through the choice of questions, visuals and written stimuli. Project provides adequate coverage of the time period. There may be one-two minor historical errors.
Approaches Expectations

Students demonstrate a limited knowledge of the content. Questions, visuals and written stimuli fail to fully cover all aspects of the time period. More than two minor historical errors may be present.
Does Not Meet Expectations

Very limited demonstration of content knowledge. Questions, visuals and/or stimuli are repetitive and lack complete coverage of the time period. There are several major historical errors.
Question Formation

Exceeds Expectations

Questions are sophisticated, challenging and appropriate for an advanced placement student. Stimulus based questions are thoughtfully chosen and represent a wide range of content and sources.
Project is very valuable as an AP test review.
Meets Expectations

Questions are sufficiently challenging for an advanced placement student, although they may provide more limited variety and content.
Project is useful for AP test review.
Approaches Expectations

Many, if not most, questions do not present a challenge to an advanced placement student. Stimulus based questions and/or visuals provide limited variety and represent a small range of sources. Project has limited use as an AP test review.
Does Not Meet Expectations

Most questions fail to reach an advanced placement level of difficulty. Stimulus items and visuals used with questions are of very limited variety and interest. Project has no utility as a review for the AP test.

Exceeds Expectations

Each question has four thoughtful answer possibilities that are very challenging and promote critical thinking. There is a factually unassailable correct answer.
Meets Expectations

Each question has four challenging answer possibilities. One or two "correct" answers may be open to challenge.
Approaches Expectations

Some questions may be missing one answer possibility.
Correct answer is included, but may not adequately fit the question. Multiple "correct" answers open to challenge.
Does Not Meet Expectations

Questions consistently have fewer than four answers and/or the correct answer is not included.

Quiz is well-constructed and shows exceptional creativity in the choice of written stimuli, visuals and music. Historically appropriate music is provided that adds interest to the project.
