Pre Test
30 %

Students will be given a pre test on material that will be assessed at math field day.

Average

The student scored less than 80% on the pre test administered by the teacher.
Above Average

The student scored an 80% or above on the pre test administered by the teacher.
Distinguished

The student scored a 90% or above on the pre test administered by the teacher.
STAR Math Scores
20 %

Students beginning of the year STAR math assessment.

Average

The student's STAR Math score is in the green area and puts them in less than the 75th percentile.
Above Average

The student's STAR Math score is in the green area and puts them in the 75th percentile or above.
Distinguished

The student's STAR Math score is in the green area and puts them in the 90th percentile or above.
Current Math Average
10 %

Current math grade.

Average

The student has a C average or below in math class.
Above Average

The student has a B average in math class.
Distinguished

The student has an A average in math class.
Teacher Observation
Teacher observation will be the key component to selecting students in addition to reviewing data. Observations will be recorded below.
