Give resident call bell And state that you will be back after you brush their dentures

Take denture cup with dentures, toothpaste, toothbrush/denture brush, emesis basin to sink

Place barrier on sink, place basin, denture cup, toothbrush and tooth paste on barrier

Line sink with paper towels before brushing dentures.

Used cool/tepid water to clean dentures

Rinse denture cup and fill with cool water, then place dentures in cup and dry.

Place towel on resident before starting moth care

Moisten toothettes with water and clean gums
4 toothettes 2 top and 2 bottom)

Offer resident cup of water to rinse mouth after cleaning gums

Provide emesis basin for spitting as needed while rinsing mouth

Leave area around residence mouth clean and dry
