Living/Nonliving Things	Outstanding Work Student can tell whether an item is living or nonliving with at least 80% accuracy.	Great Work Student can tell whether an item is living or nonliving with 60-79% accuracy.	Good Work Student can tell whether an item is living or nonliving with 40-59% accuracy.	Needs Improving Student cannot tell differences between living and non-living.
Identify characteristics	Outstanding Work Student does extremely well and identifies the characteristic of living things in relation to the object.	Great Work Student does well and identifies the characteristics of living things in relation to the object.	Good Work Student attempts to identify the characteristics of living things in relation to the object.	Needs Improving Student does not identify the characteristics of living thing in relation to the object.
