	Poor 4 pts	Fair 6 pts	Good 8 pts	Excellent 10 pts
Dialogue is included	Poor Not engaging. No attempts to differentiate between characters. Hard to understand. Would be hard to act on a TV set. Not school appropriate.	Fair A bit bland and not specific to a character.	Good Good dialogue, but all of the characters sound the same. Message gets across, but not particularly creative.	Excellent Natural and specific to the character. Interesting and engaging. No fluff.
set desciption	Poor There are no set descriptions, or they are too specific/not essential to the understanding of the plot/character.	Fair Stage descriptions are hard to understand/visualize.	Good Stage description are clear, but not necessarily essential to the understanding of the plot/character.	Excellent Descriptions are essential to the understanding of the plot/character and enhance the action being played out on set.
grammar/spelling	Poor more than five spelling mistakes and poor grammar.	Fair Less than 5 spelling and grammar problems.	Good Less than 3 problem in grammar and spelling.	Excellent There are no problems in spelling and grammar.
Conflict	Poor Conflict is poorly done and unrealistic.	Fair A underdeveloped conflict is present.	Good A conflict is present. The actors/actresses are somewhat participating in action that move the conflict further.	Excellent All actors/acctresses are advancing the conflict. The script is on focus.
Plot	Poor There is no evident, interesting plot line.	Fair There seems to be a plot line, however it is scattered and there are many random elements to the story.	Good There is an A and B plot however the characters are not always related to the plot. Random elements are included.	Excellent There is an A and B plot (potentially a C) and all of the characters actions/lines are constantly moving the plot forward. No randomness present.
