Craftsmanship/Choice of Media Neatness, Precision, and Execution of Selected Media.	Level 4 Student demonstrates a great understanding of the selected media. Student's artwork is neat and clean looking.	Level 3 Student demonstrates a good understanding of the selected media. Student's artwork is neat and clean looking.	Level 2 Student demonstrates an average understanding of the selected media. Student's artwork is neat and clean looking.	Level 1 Student showed poor craftsmanship very little effort given to presentation.
Creativity/Originality Inventiveness, express ideas and use of imagination.	Level 4 Student has taken the technique being studied and applied it in a way that is totally his/her own. The student's personality/voice comes through.	Level 3 Student has taken the technique being studied and has used source material as a starting place. The student's personality comes through in parts of the painting.	Level 2 Student has copied some painting from the source material. There is little evidence of creativity, but the student has done the assignment.	Level 1 Student has not made much attempt to meet the requirements of the assignment.
Effort What it takes to finish the project.	Level 4 Time was used wisely. Much time and effort went into the planning and design of the mask. It is clear the student worked a good amount of time.	Level 3 Time was used wisely. Student could have put in more time and effort into their project.	Level 2 Time was not always used wisely, but student did do some work.	Level 1 Time was not used wisely and the student put in no additional effort.
