A few instances of varied sentences and dialogue.	Fair There are a few proofreading errors. The story uses little varied sentences.	Poor There are many spelling, usage, or grammar errors. Language is simplistic.
Illustrations	Excellent Illustrations are vibrant, detailed, and enhance the meaning of the story.	Good Illustrations are aesthetically pleasing, clear, and relate well to the story.	Fair Illustrations show modest effort and relate somewhat to the story.	Poor Illustrations are sloppy, vague, do not relate well to the story.
Plot & Theme	Excellent Story has a plot and moral that all people, kids and adults, can relate to and learn from. Story is original, imaginative, and entertaining.
