Fair Student writes fewer than 5 "I believe" statements and/or they are generic statements that are not particularly personal to them.	Good Student writes 5 "I believe" statements that are personal and explain who they are and what they believe.	Excellent Student writes more than 5 "I believe" statements that are personal.

Development of Ideas	Poor Very few details are present, and no information is given to support the main ideas.	Fair Details are present, but they don't really support the main ideas. Details are often disconnected. Ideas are repetitive.	Good Some details and elaboration relate back to and support main ideas. Main ideas are similar.	Excellent Creative and thoughtful use of details and elaboration that effectively support the main ideas. Each main idea is unique.
