Steady Beat	Level 1 Student is NOT ABLE to sing the selected exercise with a steady beat at this time.	Level 2 Student SOMETIMES sings with a steady beat. There are no more than 3-4 hesitations or pauses in the beat, but the steady beat mistakes take away from the overall performance.	Level 3 Student MOSTLY sings with a steady beat. The steady beat mistakes do not take away from the overall performance of the sight reading exercise. There are no more than 1-2 hesitations or pauses in the beat.	Level 4 Student ALWAYS sings with a steady beat. The song is smooth and there are no hesitations or pauses in the beat.
Rhythm	Level 1 Student is NOT ABLE to sing rhythms accurately at this time.	Level 2 Student SOMETIMES sings the rhythms accurately.	Level 3 Student/group MOSTLY sings the rhythms accurately	Level 4 Student ALWAYS sings the rhythms accurately.
Lyrics	Level 1 Students does not know lyrics.	Level 2 Student SOMETIMES sings correct lyrics	Level 3 Student MOSLTY sings the lyrics correctly	Level 4 Student ALWAYS sings the lyrics correctly
Intonation/pitch	Level 1 Student is NOT ABLE to sing the correct pitches at this time in canon performance.	Level 2 Student SOMETIMES sings the correct pitches in canon performance	Level 3 Student MOSTLY sings the correct pitches in canon performance.	Level 4 Student ALWAYS sings the correct pitches in canon performance
Part Singing-canon	Level 1 Student is NOT ABLE to sing the assigned part correctly. Student is unable to sing independently from the other singers and joined in with the other singers throughout most of the performance.	Level 2 Student SOMETIMES sings the assigned part correctly but is unable to sing independently from the other singers. Student may have joined in with another singer suring portions of the performance of their part.	Level 3 Student MOSTLY sings the assigned part correctly and is able to sing independently from the other singers.	Level 4 Student ALWAYS sings the assigned part correctly and is able to sing independently from the other singers.
