Students will be graded on paritcipation and effort throughout the school year in a variety of activities including (but not limited to): Warm Up, Volleyball, Fitness, Soccer, Flag Football, Racket games, Badminton, Basketball, Dancing, Softball, and Yard games

The effort put into paying attention to teacher or peer instruction and following instructions

The student is not focused on the teacher during class instruction, is a distraction to others, does not follow instructions, or is off-task.

Satisfactory

The student is focused a majority of the time but may become a distraction to others, may not wait to be called on before speaking, may not follow all instructions. Does not pay attention or ask questions for clarification.
Good

The student makes eye contact with teacher during instruction, asks questions by raising hand, and follows instructions.

The effort put into playing by the rules

Needs Improvement

After an introduction to the rules of a sport, the student does not play by those rules a majority of the activity and/or is off-task
Satisfactory

After an introduction to the rules the student participates accordingly a majority of the activity but may not continually follow rules throughout the entire session.
Good

After an introduction to the rules the student participates accordingly for the entire activity session and may even help others stay on task
Team Cooperation

The effort put into working together, strategizing, communicating

Needs Improvement

The student is a distraction to others during, is unsafe, and/or brings teammates down during drills and games.
Defers too much to other team mates and makes little effort to engage in in the game.
Satisfactory

The student may cooperate with the team but may not incorporate all members into game play on a consistent basis. May not give/share opportunities with others to take a main role during a game.
Good

The student is a constant motivator to teammates and participates in each activity no matter which team he or she is assigned to. Makes effort to interact/pass to various team mates. Makes effort to consistently include others
