Ready position/Side to target

Poor

Knees locked, frisbee held at waist and feet are together.
Moderate

Knees bent, feet are shoulders width apart and frisbee held in throwing hand in horizontal position.
Excellent

Knees bent, feet are shoulders width apart and frisbee held with both hands to not distinguish which throw he/she is performing.
Step with dominant foot

Poor

Student does not take a step or step is in opposition when throwing the frisbee.
Moderate

Student steps with dominant foot to throw the frisbee. However, the pivot foot is not kept in place (opposition foot).
Excellent

A pivot foot is established (with the opposition foot) and the student steps with the dominant foot, transferring weight from back foot to front.
Pull & Flick of the wrist

Poor

Student does not windup, there is not whipping like motion with wrist when thrown, and arm is lock throughout the entire motion.
Moderate

Student windups up and throws, but arm does not bend and coil back.
Excellent

Student snaps wrist "like a towel" quickly toward target, arm coils back toward body in a windup and student displays more "wrist throw" than arm throw.
Frisbee Position

Poor

Student holds frisbee vertically and does not hold horizontally to ground throughout entire movement. Frisbee is thrown above shoulders or below waist.
Moderate

Student keeps the frisbee horizontally when releasing only.
Excellent

Student keeps frisbee horizontally throughout the entire motion near chest.
Follows Through

Poor

Student does not follow through when throwing the disc and arm movement is in an broken up motion.
Moderate

Student follows through with wrist only pointed to target, not pointer finger.
Excellent

Student points at target after releasing the frisbee with pointer finger in a smooth motion.
Catching

Poor

Student does not grasp the Frisbee in a "pancake" or with pinching fingers together around the Frisbee's rim
Moderate

Students shows that they are ready in proper form to catch Frisbee but needs to have better grip and be more aggressive.
Excellent

Students effectively catches the Frisbee with proper form and hardly lets the Frisbee drop.
