Unsatisfactory Dance piece does not utilize the 5 elements of movement in a clear creative way. Piece lacks levels (body, action, space) and choreography reflects little or no interesting use of Time (poor musicality).	Developing Dance piece shows some of the 5 elements of movement but not in a clear creative way. Piece shows some use of levels (body, action, space) and choreography reflects some variations of musical timing (Time). use of Time.	Proficient Dance piece shows a good sense of how to implement the 5 elements of movement. The use of Body, Action, Time, Space and Energy are demonstrated clearly.	Exemplary Dance piece is creatively put together by demonstrated all 5 elements of Dance in a unique and creative way.
Effort/Energy	Unsatisfactory The dancer is not very focused, concentrated or committed to dance piece. Dancer has little to no choreography at this point.	Developing The dancer is generally focused, but only some attempt made to create a piece based on their potential. Very little choreography has been demonstrated.	Proficient The dancer demonstrates with a good amount of choreography at this point. Dancer has used time well.	Exemplary The dancer has created the amount of choreography that was expected or more. Great effort is demonstrated within the piece.
