The single section design is well balanced when placed in the whole design it creates a visually pleasing design. The letters chosen is well drawn and fills most of the 12 sections.

The single section design is balanced when placed with the whole design is create a "ok" design. The letters chosen is ok but could have been designed better.

The single section design is drawn with minimum thought and doesn't create an interesting design.

Each tint and shade has been exceptionally mixed and painted in the correct location and the colored pencils in the initials are well blended and smooth. The tints and shades were created in each section and exceptional well done.

Each tint and shade has been adequately and were placed in the correct location. The colored pencils are smooth but could have been blended a bit more. A variety of tints and shades were created in most spaces.
Fair 70-79

Each tint and shade was not mixed properly and the colored pencil is rough and not blended. A minimal amount of tints and shades were created in each space.
Poor<69

The tint and shade
were not placed in the correct location. Colors were pure with no use of tints and shades and colored pencils are very rough and need work.

Excellent 90-100

All 12 areas were exceptionally painted and the lines were completely straight; individual colors remained within the space. Project was well taking care of and student spent time more than 4 hours outside of class time working and attending art studio time.
Good 80-89

The 12 areas were painted very well with only a few imperfections. Most lines were straight and some colors crossed over into other spaces. Project has some areas that show the student could have taken more care of the project and spent less than 2 hours of art studio time working on the project.
Fair 70-79

The 12 areas were well painted with several small mistakes. Many colors were crossing over into other spaces. Project has tears and rips on the edge and did not spend extra art studio time.
Poor<69

The 12 areas were painted with many imperfections. Lines were very crooked and paint was applied haphazardly to each space.
Project is in bad condition and not time was spent extra working on it in the studio.
