iRubric: Drawing and Value Composition rubric

Composition fills the paper. It is interesting and planned carefully. It meets all the following compositional requirements:
Has 4 or more objects that intersect (minimum of 3 intersections); some objects appear to go back. All objects have a clear sense of volume illuminated from one light source.

Composition fills most of the paper.
Composition is interesting and adequately planned.
Composition meets most of these Compositional requirements:
Has 3 or more objects that intersect (2- 3 intersections);
some objects appear to go back. Most of the objects have a clear sense of volume.

Composition fills 50% or less of the paper.
Composition is not well planned and ojects are not logically placed.
At least half of the
Compositional requirements are met: Some objects appear to go back in space. Some (at least half of) objects have a clear sense of volume.

No clear thought to composition- appears to be a sketch or study
Composition fills less than 50% of the paper.
Compositional requirements are less than 50% fufilled.

The artwork demonstrates original personal expression.
Great pride and care has been taken by the student to present a neat, unmarred final composition.

The artwork demonstrates some personal expression.
Composition shows some lack of care- slightly crumpled, unwanted marks or smudges.

The artwork demonstrates a small amount of personal expression.
Composition shows greater lack of care- multiple creases or crumpled, smudges, etc.

The artwork lacks evidence of personal expression.

Composition shows signs of neglect that demonstrate the student's lack of pride in the work.
