Dribbling, Ball Control and Striking/Passing

EXPERT

Student always uses both feet and shows they can dribble forward using an inside/outside pattern with their foot.

When striking or passing the ball the student shows excellent accuracy and control.
PROFICIANT

Student usually dribbles with both feet and can usually use all the parts their foot to dribble.

When striking or passing the ball the student shows great accuracy and control.
SATISFACTORY

Student sometimes dribbles with both feet and can sometimes use different parts of their foot to dribble.

When striking or passing the ball the student shows some accuracy and control.
NOVICE

Student dribbles with only one foot and can not use different parts of the foot to dribble the ball.

When striking or passing the ball the student only uses toes and has shows no accuracy or control
Follows the rules of the game

Participates safely and follows rules

EXPERT

Consistently demonstrates the ability to apply the rules outlined by the teacher during
their mini soccer games.

Consistently participates safely during the game.
PROFICIANT

Most of the time demonstrates the ability to apply the rules outlined by the teacher during
their mini soccer games.

The majority of the time participates safely during the game.
SATISFACTORY

Student demonstrates the ability to apply the rules outlined by the teacher during
their mini soccer games sometimes.

Student sometimes participates safely during the game.
NOVICE

Displays little or no ability to apply the rules outlined by the teacher during
their mini soccer games.

Has difficulty participating safely during the game.

Plays fairly, by the rules, encourages others and listens to peers & teacher
