Proficient Information comes from reliable sources and shows an understanding of the research.	Outstanding Information comes from reliable sources and shows a deep understanding of your chosen topic.
History and its impact on culture	Insufficient The topic mentioned but is not explained.	Basic Explained how the topic effected and continues to affect culture in the US. Touches on but does not discuss topic in depth.	Proficient Explained how the topic effected and continues to affect culture in the US. Presented in a way that demonstrates an understanding of the topic.	Outstanding Explained in depth how the topic effected and continues to affect culture in the US. Presented in a way that demonstrates a rich understanding of the topic.
Fluency	Insufficient Presentation is poorly presented and consistently trips over words. The presentation feels ill prepared and is not an issue of nerves.	Basic Structured but lacks rehearsal.	Proficient Well structured and rehearsed.	Outstanding Not monotone, keeps you engaged, has clearly been practiced.
Organization	Insufficient Information is presented in a way that is hard to follow.	Basic Information is followable but expands off topic.
