Design/Creativity Well thought out composition and variety of quilling shapes incorporated.	Not Proficient No time spent on design or didn't even complete sketch. Can't see design within the quilling project. No evidence of originality. Variety of quilling shapes are lacking.	Needs Work Quickly put together design that is hard to see within the quilling project. Design lacks originality. Limited quilling shapes used.	Proficient Design was planned out and is visible within the project. Design shows originality.Good variety of quilling shapes.	Advanced Well-planned design that is highly visible within the project.The student's work demonstrates high originality. Several different quilling shapes are incorporated.
Craftmanship Nicely constructed piece, high focus on application technique.	Not Proficient Missing uniformity within the piece. White space is way too distracting, appears empty. Too much glue was applied. Quilling shapes do not hold their intended shapes, loose.	Needs Work Quilling shapes are somewhat inconsistent, uniformity is lacking. Too much white space in the composition. Decent amount of glue visible and or quilling pieces are loose.	Proficient Quilling shapes for the most part are consistent. Composition is adequately filled. Application method is fairly clean.	Advanced Quilling shapes are consistent in size / good proportions. Space is nicely filled. Application of glue/paper is nice and clean.
Effort/Completion Used time wisely and turned in a finished piece.	Not Proficient The student did not finish work in satisfactory manner. Organization of project was poor.	Needs Work The student finished the project but it lacked finishing touches. The project could be improved upon with more effort.
