Independence Refers to the amount of assistance given on an assignment. Active Engagement Refers to the student's level of focus on the assignment, attempts to complete the assignment, and apparent desire to engage.	5 Student is focused for the duration of the assignment (90%-100%), attempts to complete the assignment, and requires only distant supervision.	4 Student is focused for the majority of the assignment (75%-90%), requires minimal cueing to attend and regulatory support.	3 Student is focused for 50-75% of the assignment, requires maximal cueing to attend and regulatory support.	2 Student is focused 25-50% of the assignment, requires maximal cueing to attend and regulatory support.	1 Student is unfocused throughout the assignment (<25%) and requires consistent supervision, cueing, and regulatory support to engage.
