Knowledge	Poor: Up to 59% More than one mistake fingerspelling alphabet and numbers. Very limited number of signs attempted or recognized.	Fair: 60-74% Knows alphabet and numbers. Very slow with several errors fingerspelling words. Recognizes and signs some words from all required categories.	Good: 75-89% Knows alphabet and numbers. Recognizes and fingerspells words with few errors. Recognizes and signs a majority of words from all required categories.	Excellent:90-100% Knows alphabet and numbers. Recognizes and fingerspells words with no errors. Signs and understands most words from all categories.
Quality	Poor: Up to 59% Inconsistent hand positioning. Often letters/words are indistinquishable. Meaning is unclear. Many signs not attempted	Fair: 60-74% Signing performed in proper body area. Signs/fingerspelling stilted and occasionally hard to distinguish. Mistakes that interfere with meaning. Most signs attempted.	Good: 75-89% Signing performed in proper body area. Letters/signs are clear and properly formed, but on a mechanical level. All words/phrases attempted.	Excellent:90-100% Letter/sign formation is clear. Body language and facial expressions contribute to meaning. Connection is made with audience.
