Rubric Criteria
	Excellent 25 pts	Good 20 pts	Fair 15 pts	Poor 10 pts
Preparation	Excellent Student was PREPARED for class having read the homework assignments and developed their own opinions and ideas.	Good Student was MOSTLY prepared for class having read the homework assignments and developed their own opinions and ideas.	Fair Student was MOSTLY NOT prepared for class not having read the homework assignments or developed their own opinions and ideas. Seemed lost and waiting for cues to speak.	Poor Student was NOT PREPARED for class not having read any of the homework assignments or developed their own opinions and ideas.
Productivity/On-task	Excellent Student is ON-TASK and often works PRODUCTIVELY. Student completed in class assignments	Good Student is MOSTLY on-task and worked productively. Almost completes assignments but make some progress.	Fair Student is often UNPRODUCTIVE. They do not complete in class work or made only a small amount of progress on their assignment.	Poor Student is completely UNPRODUCTIVE. No in class work is completed and they make no progress towards completion.
Level of Engagement	Excellent Student proactively contributed to class by OFFERING ideas and ASKING questions MORE than TWICE during class.	Good Student proactively contributed to class by offering ideas and asking questions ONE to TWO times during class.	Fair Student contributed to class by offering ideas and asking questions ONCE during class.	Poor Student DID NOT contribute to class by offering ideas and asking questions..
Responding	Excellent Student MOSTLY RESPONDED to both the teachers and students' questions, ideas and opinions.	Good Student OFTEN RESPONDED to both the teachers and students' questions, ideas and opinions.	Fair Student RARELY RESPONDED to both the teachers and students' questions, ideas and opinions.	Poor Student NEVER RESPONDED to both the teachers and students' questions, ideas and opinions.
