Information Report Writing 
The student will organise information by using a structure appropriate to an information report. The product must contain an element of research, visual images, and can be on a subject of the students choice (person, place, object or animal).

The student has made a strong attempt at creating a factual or informative report. The text does provide the audience with fairly detailed information about the chosen topic.
Excellent

The student has successfully created a factual and informative report. The text details clearly the chosen topic, and suits the purpose of the task.
Language Features

The text includes suitable language features to meet the purpose of informing the reader such as subject specific vocabulary, varied sentence structure, third person POV, and linking verbs.

Unsatisfactory

The student has not included any of the required language features of an Information Report, such as varied sentences, subject specific vocabulary or third person point-of-view.
Satisfactory

The student has made some attempt to include one of the required language features of an Information Report, such as varied sentences, subject specific vocabulary or third person point-of-view, but some may be missing.
Good

The student has made some attempt to include at least two of the required language features of an Information Report, such as varied sentences, subject specific vocabulary or third person point-of-view.

The student has made an obvious effort to edit their text before submission. The student has corrected obvious spelling and grammar errors. Punctuation use is appropriate to the task.
Excellent

The student has made an obvious effort to edit their text before submission. The student has corrected most spelling and grammar errors. Punctuation is used correctly in the text.
Summarizing

The student is required to summarize information on the topic into their own words.

Unsatisfactory

The student has made no attempt to summarize the information into their own words. The information is copied from an external source.
Satisfactory

The student has made a fair attempt to summarize the information into their own words.
Good

The student has made a good attempt to summarize the information into their own words.
Very Good

The student has made a very good attempt to summarize the information into their own words.
Excellent

The student has summarized their information into their own words.
