CRITERIA
	EXEMPLARY 10 pts	SATISFACTORY 8 pts	FAIR 6 pts	POOR 4 pts
ATTENDANCE AND PUNCTUALITY 20%	EXEMPLARY Student was present for every practices. Student was always on time for practices and often arrived early.	SATISFACTORY Student was absent for 1 practice but provided teacher with a reasonable excuse. Student was usually on time or early for practices (was tardy to class only 1 or 2 times).	FAIR Student was absent for 2 practices but provided teacher with reasonable excuses. Student was sometimes on time (was tardy to class 3 times), but rarely arrived early.	POOR Student was absent for more than 2 practices and/or did not provide teacher with reasonable excuses. Student was rarely on time or early (was tardy to class 4 or more times).
BEHAVIOR/ATTITUDE 30%	EXEMPLARY Is positive and respectful to all participants in practices. No negative talking or attitude is present.	SATISFACTORY Is positive and respectful to all participants in practices, for the majority of the class. Negative attitude becomes apparent only once or twice in class but still attempts to stay positive and respectful.	FAIR Is slightly positive and respectful to all participants in practices, for the majority of the class. Negative attitude becomes habitually apparent and has few attempts to stay positive and respectful.	POOR Is not positive and respectful to all participants in practices for the majority of the class. Negative attitude is apparent.
PRESENTATION/PERFORMANCE 50%	EXEMPLARY Presentation performed with great attention to quality of movement, body position, placement. Students also demonstrates an excellent understanding of dance style due to eye contact, memorization and exemplary auditory presentation skills.	SATISFACTORY Presentation performed with attention to details of technique, has attained proficiency in dance style.Students also demonstrates a good understanding of dance style due to eye contact, memorization and exemplary auditory presentation skills.	FAIR Presentation performed with attention to most details of technique, but hasn't attained proficiency in dance style yet. Some technical errors. Student read heavily on notes on prezi/powerpoint.	POOR Only some understanding of technical elements (ie. footwork, quality of movements, body positions) demonstrated in presentation. Student read heavily on notes on prezi/powerpoint.
