Participation	Poor I do not participate or I choose to sit out. I refuse to even try.	Fair I sometimes get off task and only participate when asked.	Good I am on task and participate almost all of the time. I answer some questions and I share ideas when I feel confident to do so.	Excellent I always give my best effort during each lesson. I can be counted on to sing, dance, play, answer questions, and share my ideas.
Perseverance	Poor I give up when things are hard, different, or not what I normally like to do.	Fair I choose when I want to try.	Good I try to give every task my best effort. I don’t give up when something is hard or different, and I ask for help when I need it.	Excellent I help and encourage others that are having a difficult time. I always practice random acts of kindness.
Behavior	Poor I do not pay attention or listen to what is going on in the lesson. I am disrespectful through my words and my actions.	Fair I need reminders to listen, follow directions, and to act and speak respectfully.	Good I listen, follow directions, and am respectful of everyone around me.	Excellent I listen to and follow directions the first time given. I know that it is ok to make mistakes, but when I do make them, I correct them.
