The level of detail in each question is poor and makes no attempt to include textually relevant information. There is little to no engagement with the text; thinking is extremely unclear.
Developing
The level of detail in each question is emerging. Attempts to engage with the text are made; however, thinking is often not visible.
Proficient
The level of detail in each question is sufficient. The student has engaged with the text; however, more textual detail would enhance answers and make thinking visible.
Exemplary
The level of detail in each question is excellent. Engagement is highly evident, and textual details are relevant. The student has connected fully with the literature, and thinking is clearly visible.

Assignment was handed in late, but teacher allowed extra time.
