Transportation Oral Description of a Place I Know Students describe a mode of transportation creating a power point and using 5-10 slides and phrases to describe it. Students must use 'there is/there are' and comparatives in their presentation. Presentation will be one minute or more and students must be prepared for questions. Uses complete sentences	Poor Student does not use complete sentences throughout the presentation.	Fair Student uses mostly complete sentences, with some missing words and nonsensical sentences.	Good Students uses complete and descriptive sentences that are comprehensible by the class and teacher.
Describes mode of transportation	Poor Student does not use any descriptive language to indicate where the location is.	Fair Student describes one aspect of transportation in detail.	Good Student describes in detail 2 or more details of the method of transportation.
Pronunciation	Poor Student makes many errors in pronunciation and is difficult to understand.	Fair Student makes some errors but can be understood. Clarification may be needed for understanding.	Good Student is easy to understand with only 1-2 errors in pronunciation.
Grammar	Poor Grammar has many errors, making speech difficult to understand at times.	Fair Grammar has some errors, but student can generally be understood.	Good Grammar has only 1-2 errors and student uses proper syntax.
Fluency	Poor Student hesitates often and demonstrates trouble finding words for what he/she wants to say.	Fair Student shows some hesitation in speech, but generally has a good flow of speech.	Good Student hesitates very little and uses appropriate use of pauses and tone to express content.
