Subject Line	Great Subject line has no grammatical, spelling, or punctuation errors and accurately describes message contents	Fair Subject Line has errors - spelling, grammar, punctuation - and/or does not describe the message's content	Poor Subject Line has no grammatical, spelling, or punctuation errors but does not accurately describe the message contents.	Unsatifactory No Subject Line included with email.
Grammar & Spelling	Great The message contains no errors in grammar, punctuation, and/or spelling and/or all sentences are complete, well-constructed, and stated in business terms.	Fair The message contains 1 to 2 errors in grammar, punctuation, and/or spelling and/or all sentences are complete, well-constructed, and most are stated in business terms.	Poor The message contains 3 to 4 errors in grammar, punctuation, and/or spelling and/or most sentences are complete, well-constructed, and but not stated in business terms.	Unsatifactory The message contains more than 4 errors in grammar, punctuation, and/or spelling and/or contains sentence fragments or run-on sentences.
Ideas	Great All ideas were expressed in a clear and organiz fashion. Included all 6 pieces of information in the email: introduction of yourself, the school, and the local environment; advice on how to overcome at least 3 challenges.	Fair Ideas were expressed in a pretty clear manner. Included only 4-5 pieces of information.	Poor Ideas were somewhat organized, but were not very clear. Included only 2-3 pieces of information	Unsatifactory The email seemed to be a collection of unrelated ideas. Included none of the required pieces of information
Format	Great Email written in a correct format and contains all required elements of an email: salutation, email text, and closing.	Fair Email contains most of the elements with only 1 item missing.	Poor Email contains some reqired elements of an email with 2 or more items missing.	Unsatifactory No required elements included in the email.
Vocabulary	Great Excellent use of unit vocabulary and extra vocabulary.	Fair Excellent use of unit vocabulary although you could have used extra vocabulary.	Poor Good use of vocabulary.	Unsatifactory Basic vocabulary used.
