CCSS RI.2.1 Formal Assessment Students will read a text and answer/identify the who, what, where, when, why, and how in a text. The student will annotate their answers by underlining the text. Formal Assessment Students will read a text and answer/identify the who, what, where, when, why, and how in a text. The student will be able to ask their own who, what, where, when, why, or how question about a text and answer the question with details from the text.

Demonstrate Understanding underline the text to show the evidence of your answers	Does Not Meet Students correctly identify and highlight/color 5 or LESS of the elements required by the assessment to show the evidence of the answers	Meets Students correctly identify and highlight/color 6 or 7 of the elements required by the assessment to show the evidence of the answers.	Exceeds Students correctly identify and highlight/color all 8 of the elements required by the assessment to show the evidence of the answers.
ANSWER Questions answer the multiple choice and written questions to show your understanding of who, what, where, why, when, and how	Does Not Meet Students can correctly answer 5 or LESS of the questions on the assessment	Meets Students can correctly answer 6 or 7 of the questions on the assessment	Exceeds Students can correctly answer all 8 of the questions on the assessment
