Craftsmanship

Neatness, precision, care.

Advanced

The artwork shows a high degree of craftsmanship, with a strong attention to detail.
Average

The artwork shows average craftsmanship and attention to detail. Breaks/Glue Lines were made to look intentional or covered in a creative fashion.
Below Average

The artwork shows below average craftsmanship and little attention to detail in half of the composition. Breaks/Glue Lines appear unintentional.
Poor

The artwork shows poor craftsmanship and no attention to detail, is broken, or is incomplete.
Creativity

Inventiveness, expression of ideas and imagination.

Advanced

The artwork demonstrates some personal expression. Idea is EXTREMELY creative/challenging in type and placement of materials used.
Average

The artwork demonstrates an average amount of personal expression. Idea is creative in type and placement of materials used.
Below Average

The artwork demonstrates off topic personal expression. Idea safe in both creativity/challenging placement of materials.
Poor

The artwork lacks evidence of topic related personal expression. Product conveys an incomplete concept. Student addressed the first and only idea.
Effort

What it takes to finish the project as well as possible, time dedicated to the project inside and/or out of class.

Advanced

The student put forth the effort required to complete the project well; used class time well.
Average

The student put forth the effort required to finish the project; used class time adequately.
Below Average

The student put forth the effort required to finish the project after prompting; OR used class time adequately after a delayed start... OR started strong and lost motivation for completing a polished off work.
Poor

The student put forth no effort or the project was not completed; class time was not used well.
Student was off task during almost all or all of project time.
Cooperation

Attitude during class time; willingness to complete tasks.

Advanced

The student is willing to complete assigned tasks, works well with others .
Average

The student is sometimes willing to complete assigned tasks .
Below Average

The student is rarely willing to complete assigned tasks .
Poor

The student does not show willingness to complete assigned tasks.
