Poster and Presentation rubric
The students create a poster for classroom presentation and display. Students will provide information on two natural or man-made landmarks. Poster and presentation consist of one natural or man-made landmark from the United States and one natural or man-made landmark from the United States, Canada, Mexico, or the Caribbean. Poster must be prepared on full-sized poster board, with a minimum of one image per landmark, in a creative, organized, and colorful manner.

Poster is exemplary quality and presentation. The poster is exceptionally creative, clear and concise. Nothing hanging or falling off. Submitted on time or early. Student shared in detail why they chose their selections.
Meets / Good
Poster is correct size, creative, clean, and organized. No items falling off. Submitted on due date. Student shared why they chose their selections.
Fair
Poster board is in fair condition, not on proper poster board size, and mediocrely presented. Poster was possibly submitted later than original due date. Some items possibly missing or falling off. Student shared briefly in detail why they chose their selections.
Poor
Poorly presented. Poster damaged, and not on required poster board size, and/or submitted more than three days late. More than three items are falling off or missing. Student did not share why they chose their selections.
Work Quality / Effort
Exceeds / Excellent
The work completed exceeds expectations and shows that the student is proud of their work. The effort exhibited is the best that can be demonstrated by the learner.
Meets / Good
The work shows good effort that demonstrates the limits of what the student is capable of producing. The student put sufficient time into this poster and presentation.
Fair
Work is completed with fair effort, but the product quality does not demonstrate what the student is capable of. It is evident that the work was rushed.
Poor
Work is done with little to no effort, quality is not what the student is capable of. It is clear that the work was rushed and little time was put into producing a quality final product. Work is incomplete.
Creativity
Exceeds / Excellent
Exemplary use of colors, texture, text placement, shapes, and spacing on poster. The artwork is the students and the writing is easy to read. Demonstrates the student can express ideas and concepts through art.
Meets / Good
Contains students own writing and artwork. Good use of colors, shapes, and appealing design. Shows the student spent time creating the poster.
Fair
Not appealing. Limited use of creative materials, color, shapes, and/or design. Some of the drawings and writing is the students own.
Poor
Lacks students original artwork and/or writing. Poor use of space on poster. Messy and/or lacks overall creativity.
