The student worked as if alone, without regard for the partner and performed as if playing a solo.
Hand Position

The left thumb is in back of the neck and the right hand is relaxed and high above the strings in an arc position.

The left thumb occasionally comes over the side of the neck and the right hand is clenched or fingers are resting on the guitar.
Developing
The left thumb often comes over the side of the neck and the right hand is often not in proper playing position. Fingers are resting on the board or the guitar is being supported by the weight of the right arm.
Beginning
The left thumb is always over the side of the neck and the right hand is not in proper position. The hand is either resting on the guitar, the fingers are touching the body of the guitar and the hand is not relaxed.
