Students are to write an essay, power point, graphic novel answering the following prompt: The Dust Bowl of the 1930s was a severe drought suffered across the Great Basin region of the United States. During this time vast areas of land became unusable for farming producing millions of tons of dust and dry dust. Could the devastation suffered during the Dust Bowl have been prevented?

Position is supported with well developed and thought out reasons (minimum of three). Reasons show strong analysis and conclusions based on the information.
