Student or students presentation is presented in an understandable and logical sequence which audience can follow. The audience learns about the characters in the literacy circle book. The presentation is the right length of time.
Excellent

Student or students presentation is presented in an understandable and logical sequence which audience can follow. The audience learns about the characters in the literacy circle book. The student or students are very organized in their presentation, and know their lines very well. The audience is entertained. The presentation is the right length of time.
Subject Knowledge

Poor

Student or students have little knowledge about the character or characters in their book, as evidenced by their presentation. The presentation is awkward.
Fair

Student(s) have adequate but limited knowledge about their characters, in the book. The performance or talk show demonstrates that the presenters have some knowledge.
Good

Student(s) demonstrate from their talk show or role play that they are knowledgeable about their subject. Student(s) probably have brought props or costumes clothing etc to make their character more believable to the audience.
Excellent

Student(s) are very knowledgeable about their subject and characters. The audience is very entertained and informed by the presentation. Props, and / or costumes, clothing, appropriate music make the presentation very believable.
Graphics

Poor

Presenters do not submit a script or notes to Mr. Bhaduri about their presentation.
Fair

Presenters do submit a script (who says what, who does what) to Mr. Bhaduri, or notes. The script is messy or has more than 5 spelling or grammar mistakes.The script is submitted the day or or the day after the presentation.
Good

Student presenter(s) submit a well-organized, complete script, or notes, to Mr. Bhaduri about who says what, or who does what. This has few spelling or grammar errors. The script or notes is submitted on time.
Excellent

The script or notes submitted to Mr. Bhaduri is complete and neat. When reading the script, the actions and words of characters are very clear. The script or notes is submitted the morning of or day before the actual presentation.
Mechanics

Poor

Student's presentation has 6 or more spelling errors and/or grammatical errors.
Fair

Presentation has 5 misspellings and/or grammatical errors.
Good

Presentation has no more than two misspellings and/or grammatical errors.
Excellent

Presentation has no misspellings or grammatical errors.
Eye Contact

Poor

Student reads all of presentation with no eye contact.
Fair

Student occasionally uses eye contact, but still reads most of report.
Good

Student maintains eye contact most of the time but frequently returns to notes.
Excellent

Student maintains eye contact with audience, seldom returning to notes.
Elocution

Poor

Student mumbles, incorrectly pronounces terms, and speaks too quietly for students in the back of class to hear.

Student's voice is low. Student incorrectly pronounces terms. Audience members have difficulty hearing presentation.

Student's voice is clear. Student pronounces most words correctly. Most audience members can hear presentation.

Student uses a clear voice and correct, precise pronunciation of terms so that all audience members can hear presentation.
