Kicking a soccer ball unit skills assessment
	Developing 1 pts	Competency 2 pts	Mastery 3 pts
Ball kick Demonstrate proper stance and form. using the step kick step from the side of the foot and the laces.	Developing student does not kick ball with inside of foot, opposite foot from kicking foot is not next to the ball, arms and legs not in opposition. use of toes	Competency uses inside of foot, addresses ball properly, uses good form with ball going to the area of target	Mastery uses excellent form, economy of motion, excellent velocity and acceleration
Ball kick Kick a ball to a partner using the inside of the foot. Demonstrate proper form of the legs and arms. trying to aim at target	Developing five or less out of ten tries from ten yards	Competency six to eight out of ten tries from ten yards	Mastery nine out of ten tries from ten yards
Kick ball to moving partner from a stationary position kick ball to moving partner ten to fiften yards away. partner will be moving diagonally from kicker. if there is not enough partner or less advance, use cones first cones first as target areas.	Developing five or less out of ten tries not in the area (5-10ft)	Competency eight out of ten tries (3-5ft)	Mastery ten out of ten tries (less then 3ft)
Moving Kick while moving, kick ball to moving partner. use cones as will when moving trying to knock them over	Developing five or less out of ten tries (cones-not in the area)	Competency eight out of ten tries (needs to be close or skin the cone, if using cones)	Mastery ten out of ten tries (knocking the cones done)
