Construction	Poor The coil size is inconsistent, and cracks are visible on the inside and outside of the vessel. This vessel may not hold water where cracks are.	Fair Coils are not consistent in size, as evidenced by lumps or thin spots. Multiple cracks are visible where attachment takes place.	Good Coils were rolled to a similar size with only a few cracks where they were attached to one another.	Excellent All coils were rolled to a consistent size before attachment. There are no cracks where coils attach to one another
Base, Size and Shape	Poor The mug may be missing the handle or way too small to hold a drink	Fair More than 1 mistake was made to the mug's shape, size, or base.	Good The size is a bit too small to hold a full drink, or the mug is uncomfortable to hold.	Excellent The size is large enough to hold a drink, and the mug shape is comfortable to hold or drink out of.
Handle	Poor There is no handle or has broken off in firing.	Fair The handle is very awkward for a hand to hold or is not attached properly	Good The handle may be a bit undersized or oversized for the hand. A mistake in attachment methods may be visible.	Excellent The handle fits the hand perfectly and is adhered properly. spots where the handle attaches are solidly attached.
Finished Crafrtsmanship	Poor The mug has not been smoothed out, or the coils are very visible.	Fair The mug is noticeably built from the coild method. More finishing work should have been done to the mug	Good The mug's finish has a few imperfections but is smooth overall.	Excellent The mug has a smooth finish, and there is no hint that this started as a coil piece.
