Art Project Criteria
	Level 4 The student consistently demonstrates high levels of skill. 4 pts	Level 3 The student demonstrates creativity and good levels of skill. 3 pts	Level 2 The student uses materials well to produce satisfactory artworks. 2 pts	Level 1 THe student attempts to produce work of a good standard with some success. 1 pts
Instruction & Concepts Knowledge and Understanding	Level 4 The artwork is planned carefully; understanding of all concepts and instructions is clearly demonstrated. The student shows complete understanding , and use of the elements and principles of design.	Level 3 The artwork is planned carefully; understanding of most concepts and instructions is demonstrated. The student shows some understanding , and use of the elements and principles of design.	Level 2 The art work is planned adequately; understanding of some concepts and instructions demonstrated. The student shows little concept of the principles and elements of design.	Level 1 The artwork shows little evidence of understanding the concepts and instructions. The student is unclear in their thinking and doesn't fully demonstrate using the elements and principles of design.
Skill & Craftsmanship Application and Communication	Level 4 The artwork shows outstanding craftsmanship,with clear attention to control, adaptation, selection and experimentation of medium/media.	Level 3 The artwork shows good craftmanship, with some attention to control, adaptation, selection and experimentation of medium/media.	Level 2 The artwork shows average craftmanship and average attention to control, adaptation, selection and experimentation of medium/media.	Level 1 The artwork shows minimal craftmanship and little attention to control, adaptation, selection and experimentation of medium/media.
Creativity & Originality Thinking	Level 4 The artwork demonstrates original personal expression and outstanding problem solving skills.	Level 3 The artwork demonstrates some personal expression and logical problem solving skills.	Level 2 The artwork demonstrates an average amount of personal expression.	Level 1 The artwork demonstrates little personal expression and problem solving skills.
