Basketball Passing Rubric

This rubric will help to grade skill level of students in passing the basketball. To achieve a skill number, students must demonstrate all of the skill in that scoring level. Emphasis is on the process and mechanics of the sports skill and not the end product

Fingers Spreaded	Poor Student fingers are never spreaded along side of the ball.	Fair Student fingers are spreaded along side of the ball somtime.	Good Student finger are spreaded along side of the ball most of the time.	Excellent Students fingers are spreaded along the side of the ball all the time
KNEES BENT	Poor Students stands straight up	Fair Students knees slightly bent	Good Students knees bent, but occasionally standing up.	Excellent Students knees bent all of the time while passing the ball.
Release ball by extending arms downward	Poor Students arms are never extended downward when passing the ball.	Fair Students are are evtended downward some of the time when passing the ball.	Good Students ares are extended downward most of the time when passing the ball.	Excellent Students arms are always extended downward when passing the ball.
Ball Placement	Poor Ball is never bounced correctly.	Fair Ball is bounced correctly some of the time.	Good Ball is bounced correctly most of the time.	Excellent Ball is bounced correctly all of the time.
