Students assess that the scene is safe to respond to. An unsafe scene could potentially have smoke/fire, downed wires, moving vehicles, spilled chemicals, etc).
"Hey hey, are you okay?" Observes, feels, and/or listens to the victim to determine responsiveness.
Announces for someone to call 911 and the caller shouts that they are calling. Student obtaining AED announces that they are going to get it and announce when it is on scene.
If patient is unresponsive, 30 compressions are delivered at a rate of 100-120/ min. Student is positioned directly above the victim with locked elbows and the heel of their hands as the driving force.
Between sets of compressions
Students complete CPR on their patient when each student has done two sets of compressions (30 compressions, 2 breaths, 30 compressions, 2 breaths) and ONE round of shocking with the AED.
Students maintain a professional demeanor during the entire video without laughing, giggling, having inappropriate side conversations, or acting inappropriately with their victim.
Video quality is maintained throughout (everyone is heard and seen during the entire video.
