Content and Task Completion	Excellent Speech content is well organized. Topic is discussed thoroughly. Responses are appropriate to address each question.	Good Spoken content is generally logical. Most information on topic included. Responses are appropriate to answer most of the the questions.	Average Spoken content is somewhat illogical and confusing in places. Information on topic lacking.Partial completion of the task. Responses are often not addressing the questions.	Below Average Spoken content is illogical and difficult to understand in a variety of places. Most of the information is lacking. Responses are mostly not addressing the questions.	Poor Poorly organized. Incomplete coverage of topic. Responses are not addressing to the questions at all.
Comprehensibility	Excellent Listener can always understand what the speaker is trying to communicate. Correct use of Chinese vocabulary and idioms. 0-1 error	Good Listener can understand most of what the writer is trying to communicate. Mostly correct use of Chinese vocabulary and idioms. 2-3 errors	Average Listener can understand approximately half of what writer is trying to communicate. Some incorrect use of Chinese vocabulary. Direct translations of English idioms that do not make sense in Chinese	Below Average Very difficult to understand the majority of the content. Mostly incorrect use of Chinese vocabulary. Word for word translations from English into Chinese without consideration of meaning into Chinese.	Poor Incomprehensible throughout.
Grammar and Accuracy	Excellent Speaker uses grammar and vocabulary correctly. Grammar does not take away from speaker's message. 0-1 error	Good Speaker usually uses grammar and vocabulary correctly. Grammar and vocabulary slightly distracts from speaker's message 2-3 errors	Average Speaker makes frequent mistakes with grammar and vocabulary. It does affect speaker's message 4-5 errors	Below Average Many grammar errors and vocabulary errors interfere with message of the paper. It is distracting to the speaker's message 6-8 errors	Poor Speaker uses grammar and vocabulary incorrectly throughout. 9 + errors.
Pronunciation	Excellent 0-1 error in tones	Good 2-3 error in tones	Average 4-5 errors in tones	Below Average 6-8 errors in tones	Poor 9+ errors in tones.
