Slave Rebellions Presentation 
This rubric is designed to correspond with Michigan Social Studies standards for fifth grade on the European Slave Trade and Slavery in Colonial America. 5-U2.2.2 Describe the life of enslaved Africans and free Africans in the American Colonies. 5-U2.2.3 Describe how Africans living in North America drew upon their African past (e.g. sense of family, role of oral tradition) and adapted elements of new cultures to develop a distinct African-American culture.

Followed all directions for set up. Project is very well organized and tidy. It is apparent that student(s) took time on project and it is visually pleasing to the eye.

Followed most directions for set up. Project is well organized and mostly tidy.
Level 2

Followed some directions given for set up. Project needs some organizational improvement and could be tidied up.
Level 1

Did not follow directions for set up. Project layout is unorganized and messy.
