Surgery Recovery
	Good 5 pts	Poor 1 pts
Recovery Room	Good Room was completely ready to go, cage was set up, warming pad was turned on, TPR equipment was accessible	Poor More than one item was not ready.
Move to recovery room	Good Student moved patient correctly and safely, head and body was supported, two people were assisting if patient was over 30lbs.	Poor Patient was not moved in the correct, safe manner-instructor had to intervene.
Monitoring	Good Student took a TPR every 15 minutes and recorded it in the chart.	Poor Student missed a TPR
Patient care	Good Patient was clean and dry, if any retching was noticed, it was notated in the chart after the patient's head was lowered. If body temperature was subnormal, student took measures to correct it, patient was either walked when fully awake or a litter box was placed in the cage.	Poor Patient care was subpar.
Medical Record	Good Student's portion of the medical record was correctly notated in the chart and the entire record was entered into AVIMARK correctly	Poor Mistakes were made in the chart.
Confidence	Good Student was confident during all aspects of duties, did not need reminding, did not panic, did not interfere with the team.	Poor Student was unable to finish tasks and was asked to leave the surgery. IF THIS HAPPENS, THIS STUDENT WILL RECEIVE A ZERO FOR THE ENTIRE DAY.
